Craig D. Westin, M.D.

Director, Sports Medicine Program, Weiss Memorial Hospital

I seek to provide individual care of the highest quality according to the patient's wishes. I follow the Golden Rule to treat the patient as I would treat my family or myself. My experience with professional and Olympic athletes has many applications for the everyday athlete.

I am the Team Physician with the U.S. Figure Skating Team. I travel internationally with the U.S. team and am the personal orthopedic surgeon for Olympic Silver Medallist, Sasha Cohen. I was the Medical Director of the Snowbird/Alta Ski resort Clinic from 1985 until 2002. I have also patented several devices for use in arthroscopic surgery and for the correction of foot and knee problems.

I prefer to use non-operative techniques to improve the results of, or even eliminate the need for surgery. Physical therapy and patient directed exercise can dramatically reduce pain in many cases. When needed, arthroscopic techniques are used to repair joints without an overnight stay in the hospital.
