Weiss offers a dedicated cardiac (telemetry) unit that compliments our new 16-bed Intensive Cardiac Care Unit. This telemetry unit provides a full spectrum of cardiac care services. Telemetry is a sophisticated, non-invasive method to monitor the heart’s rhythm and electrical activity. The telemetry unit provides 24-hour monitoring of the heart’s activity to help identify changes and possible cardiac events.

Our state-of-the-art Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory facilitates more effective angioplasty methods for acute myocardial infarction and provides 24-hour emergency service. Additionally, our digital cardiovascular imaging system provides cardiologists with more information through exceptional image quality that enables better views of vessels as well as stents, guidewires and catheters and by minimizing artifacts and distortions.

Invasive interventional services at Weiss provide patients all the newest cardiovascular treatment options, including coronary angioplasty, atherectomy and stenting, permanent pacemaker and AICD placement and bi-ventricular devices.

Approximately 50 percent of all coronary angiograms are done as outpatient procedures. Weiss interventional cardiologists use closure devices that allow patients to walk around two to three hours following their studies.

Noninvasive services include:
  • State-of-the-art stress testing, including exercise, Dobutamine, Regadenoson, echocardiography and nuclear imaging
  • Enhanced digital echocardiography
  • A pacemaker and AICD clinic
  • A comprehensive, three-phase Cardiac Rehabilitation program with risk factor assessment and modification
  • Free monthly blood pressure screenings

Altogether, the Weiss Cardiac Program provides a full spectrum of cutting-edge services for the evaluation, diagnosis and management of every type of cardiac disease.
