Nonsurgical and Surgical Options for Spine and Back Problems
Up to 85 percent of people have experienced back pain during some point in their lives. Many times, this back pain is a result of muscle strain and can heal itself within weeks or months through the use of pain medications, heat/ice therapy and exercise. Chronic back pain, however, may be the result of an underlying condition that may require surgery. If your pain does not subside after nonsurgical options have been exhausted, you may need to seek the advice of an orthopedic spine surgeon.

When surgery is necessary, our highly experienced orthopedic surgeons employ the latest surgical techniques to stabilize painful joints, decompress pinched nerves, fuse bones and correct deformities. When appropriate, minimally invasive surgery is used to perform smaller-scale spinal procedures to enable an easier and faster recovery period.
