Professional Athletes Rely on the Sports Medicine Experts at Weiss
Starting with the Spring 2010 season, Weiss Memorial Hospital’s orthopedic and sports medicine experts have teamed up with the Chicago Red Stars and the Chicago Sky to become the exclusive healthcare partner for the women’s soccer and basketball teams. The partnerships are part of Weiss’ overall commitment to improve the health of our communities, through various education and outreach efforts. Look for events sponsored by Weiss during the spring and summer of 2010.
Preston Wolin, M.D., Director of Sports Medicine at Weiss, has served as the team physician for both the U.S. National men’s and women’s soccer organizations and is the team physician for the Women’s Professional Soccer team, the Chicago Red Stars. Benjamin Domb, M.D., sports medicine specialist at Weiss, is the team physician for the Chicago Sky.
Additionally, Dr. Craig Westin is the team physician for the Joffrey Ballet and team surgeon for the U.S. Figure Skating Team, including Olympic Silver medalist Sasha Cohen.
