Charles Slack, M.D.

During more than 30 years in practice, Charles Slack, M.D., has seen thousands of patients, using the latest techniques and advanced technologies to deliver the best care to each individual. In 1979, the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery certified Dr. Slack as an orthopedic surgeon. He specializes in spine surgery, with clinical interests in conservative and surgical treatments for spinal conditions, IME and workers’ compensation.

Dr. Slack earned his medical degree at the University of Illinois at Chicago and completed his residency at Michael Reese Hospital, also in Chicago. He has held academic appointments at medical centers throughout the city, including University of Chicago, Northwestern University and Rush Medical Hospital. Dr. Slack was also on staff as a surgeon at Rush-Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center, Shriner’s Hospital for Children, the University of Illinois Hospital, Mercy Hospital and Michael Reese Hospital.

Although Dr. Slack’s clinical work is limited to Chicago, he is also a highly respected lecturer. He has shared his expertise at dozens of conferences and meetings around the world. He focuses on scoliosis, back pain and herniated lumbar discs.
