The orthopedic surgeons at the Chicago Center for Orthopedics are board-certified and fellowship-trained. They have experience treating “weekend warriors” as well as professional and Olympic athletes. Our patients range from school age through senior citizens. Some are healthy individuals with questions or injuries while others may have complex medical problems including arthritis and joint problems.
More than half our patients recover without surgery. Accurate diagnosis guides patient-specific treatments such as physical therapy, injections, orthotics, braces and medication.
If surgery is necessary, we have special experience with arthroscopic repair of shoulder and knee injuries. Some of the common shoulder problems we treat are rotator cuff injuries, shoulder dislocations, tendonitis, arthritis and other causes of shoulder pain.
Common knee problems include knee ligament (ACL and PCL) tears and cartilage problems. When possible, we repair and restore joints to prevent or delay the need for artificial joint replacement. Several of our orthopedic surgeons are trained in new cartilage transplant procedures if needed. After surgery, our surgeons supervise your physical therapy and other aspects of your recuperation until your recovery is complete.
