This month marks the one-year anniversary of our blog! We hope our posts have helped you get to know our hospital better, as well as helped improve your health. Read a few of our favorite posts from the past 12 months:
The blog began with this post, which breaks down the six simple factors to ensure optimal health, on April 1, 2010.
Then, with summer in full force, we talked to farmers at the new Uptown Farmer’s Market, held every Thursday in the Weiss parking lot, beginning in late June.
The Farmer’s Market wasn’t the only new event at Weiss last summer. In August, we introduced VetNet—a non-profit peer-support group for veterans. VetNet holds weekly support groups for veterans and their families at Weiss, as well as “benefits check-up” sessions.
In a two-part series in October, we re-lived Director of Rehabilitation Services Heidi Behnke’s volunteer trip to Haiti.
We also learned about Jennifer Molina, who almost lost her life after a tragic fall, and the spinal surgeon who helped her walk tall—and grow three inches.
Throughout the year, we have learned a great deal about our patients, our community and ourselves. Here’s to another year of blogging, filled with good times, great health and lots of learning!
