Health Screenings, Seminars and Classes
Throughout the year Weiss Memorial Hospital conducts multiple health screenings in the community and participates in several community health fairs, providing blood pressure, osteoporosis, cholesterol and other screenings, and a variety of literature to participants.
Weiss also offers blood pressure, cholesterol and diabetes screenings and a variety of support groups at the hospital, including Alzheimer's caregiver, cancer patient, grief and veteran support groups.
Visit our Calendar of Events for current screenings and classes available in the community and at Weiss. Find classes to fit your needs, including exercise classes for seniors and those appropriate for cardiac rehabilitation.
At your next annual physical be sure to ask your physician whether there are any immunizations or tests that you need. Refer to this Health Screenings and Preventative Care Guideline for more information.
The senior population is important to Weiss and we strive to meet your needs through our senior services program. WISE—the Weiss Initiative Supporting Elders, is a free wellness program for adults age 60 and older. The program provides educational, social and wellness programs geared toward the special needs and concerns of seniors.
