CHICAGO (Oct. 3, 2011) — U.S. News & World Report has recognized more than a dozen physicians currently practicing at Weiss Memorial Hospital on its 2011 “U.S. News Top Doctors” list for the Midwest.

U.S. News publishes the list annually as a way to help consumers find doctors who can best address their needs. The list is the result of peer nominations, so U.S. News enlists doctors across the country to share their awareness of who among them are the most worthy of referral.

At Weiss, 17 doctors were among the top ten percent in the Midwest region in his or her specialty, as determined by Castle Connolly Medical Ltd., a New York City-based company that has worked for nearly two decades to identify the nation's top doctors in collaboration with U.S. News through a nomination process and physician-led research team review.
