John McMahan, M.D., F.A.C.S., a board-certified Otolaryngologist, brings over 20 years of specialized experience to Weiss Memorial Hospital in Chicago. Dr. McMahan began his career in medicine with an undergraduate degree from the University of South Carolina before earning his medical degree from the same institution’s medical school. Upon completion of his M.D., he completed an intensive Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery residency and a prestigious fellowship in Head and Neck Oncology.
In addition to his first passion – treating patients – Dr. McMahan was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at Northwestern University Medical School. His passion for educating new doctors is evident in both this role and his past role as Course Director of Advanced Landmark Based Sinonasal Surgery. He has also shared his experience and expertise in various speaking engagements, faculties, and boards.
Dr. McMahan focuses his practice on the treatment of both routine and complex diseases of the nose and sinuses, providing relief for patients who need it most.
