Patricia E. Sullivan, RN, MSN, FNP is a Nurse Practitioner for the Center for Gender Confirmation Surgery (GCS) at Weiss Memorial Hospital. Pat supports patients during the post-operative phase of gender surgery.
Pat has been working with GCS Medical Director Loren S. Schechter, M.D., and gender surgery patients, since the program’s inception in 2015. She is proud to be a part of Dr. Schechter’s team and to see how, under his guidance, the GCS Center has developed into a comprehensive, multidisciplinary program serving patients both nationally and internationally.
“We have a great team—we take meticulous care of our patients, and we encourage family and friends to join them on their journey. Once you choose to have surgery at Weiss with Dr. Schechter, you are always one of his patients, and only a phone call away.”
Pat’s favorite part of patient care is motivating patients post-operatively. Beautiful views of Lake Michigan from every patient room often help, as well as a sense of humor, but most often, some great Chicago food tends to work the best for encouraging the healing process!” affirms Pat.
