Founder and Director of Cardiac Rehab at Weiss
Amjad I. Sheikh, M.D., is Chief of Cardiology and Director of Cardiac Rehab for Weiss Memorial Hospital, and has served as past President of the Medical Staff. He is board certified in Cardiovascular Disease, Internal Medicine, Echocardiography and Nuclear Cardiology. He served as a full-time Associate Professor at the University of Chicago from 1992-2001. He is now in full time practice in Interventional and Clinical Cardiology.
Dr. Sheikh specializes in cardiovascular disease and heart failure, echocardiography, and invasive cardiology. Having founded and been involved in supervising cardiac rehab at Weiss for a number of years, Dr. Sheikh has a special interest in the role of exercise in preventive cardiology.
