Colorectal Cancer

Colorectal cancer refers to cancer that starts in either the colon or the rectum. Many of these cancers start as a polyp, but most polyps are not cancerous. The best way to detect this type of cancer is a colonoscopy, during which precancerous cells can be identified and often removed.

Our team works with the oncologists at the Strauss Cancer Center at Weiss to provide you with a personalized care plan should you be diagnosed with colorectal cancer, including access to clinical trials.

Inflammatory Bowel Disease

For those with suspected inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), we start with a complete evaluation, which may involve blood work, endoscopic procedures and diagnostic imaging. Our doctors will rule out other causes for your symptoms before diagnosing IBD and work with the gastroenterologists at Weiss to provide you with a personalized care plan. The first line of treatment is usually lifestyle changes and medical therapy, including anti-inflammatory drugs and immune system suppressors. In some cases, surgery may bring relief.

Pelvic Floor Problems

Don’t suffer in silence with a pelvic floor disorder. If untreated, disorders of the pelvic floor may result in fecal incontinence (accidental bowel leakage), urinary problems or prolapse symptoms (when organs fall out of normal position). We can provide you with an evaluation of your problem and work with other specialists in a collaborative approach to offer you treatment options.
