The Cardiac program at Weiss has achieved 20 consecutive years of accreditation from the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) in Echocardiography in the areas of Adult Transthoracic, Adult Transesophageal and Adult Stress.

IAC accreditation provides a seal of approval that our program meets rigorous standards in diagnostic imaging and intervention-based procedures. Maintaining accreditation demonstrates our continued commitment to offering quality patient care.

“Congratulations to the entire cardiology team for maintaining excellence to achieve recertification once again. The process of accreditation is very rigorous. It is a seal of approval that demonstrates diagnostic and therapeutic excellence at Weiss. Our physicians are board certified in all relevant cardiology disciplines, our technologists are certified, and our CME requirements are met. We continually strive to meet all quality standards and metrics year after year,” said Weiss Chief of Cardiology Amjad Sheikh, M.D.

By earning IAC accreditation, Weiss’ cardiology program demonstrates to referring physicians, patients, and insurers that our facility has undergone a rigorous evaluation, has been found to be in compliance with industry standards and is committed to continuous quality improvement.

“Kudos to Lead Cardiac Sonographer Rachid Tesbia, RDCS, for managing the reaccreditation process with doctors and staff, ensuring requirements are being met. He took the initiative the first time, 20 years ago, and has been spearheading this process ever since,” Dr. Sheikh added.
