The Weiss orthopedic team includes: Jerry Henley, LAT, ATC; Dr. Julie Kafka; Dr. Jeannette Kelly; Natalia Kontul, PA; and Dr. Sebastian Ko.

“We are thrilled to provide sports medicine care for Lincoln Park Lions’ soccer teams.  As athletes themselves, our sports medicine specialists understand the importance of getting players back on the field as quickly and safely as possible,” said Jerry Henley LAT, ATC, Director, Sports Medicine & Orthopedic Development at Weiss.

Through the partnership, the Lincoln Park Lions also have access to Weiss’ Fast-Track program year-round, an initiative that provides athletes concierge-level care at a faster pace. The program guarantees that if an athlete gets hurt during a game or practice the sports medicine team physician will evaluate and expedite the athlete’s plan of care including any imaging, clinical or surgical referrals that may be needed to facilitate a quick turnaround for the athlete’s return to play.

The Weiss Sports Medicine team is looking forward to an exciting season partnering with the Lions. Coach Geoffrey Ruttenberg has more than 16 years of coaching experience and is the winningest coach in Lincoln Park High School’s soccer program history. To date, Ruttenberg has brought home six championship trophies to Lincoln Park soccer.
